This morning I was up and in the garden by 6AM. I usually go out early but today I was on a mission to plant some okra. Yessssss baby! Not just any okra, burgundy okra that I ordered from the D. Landreth Seed Company a while back. This was an exciting morning y'all!
The first job was to till a space for my final tomato planting. While doing that, I found a few carrots hanging out; talk about striking gold! I'll be having them for breakfast (smoothie) AND lunch (garden salad) today!

On to the task at hand...
Following the directions on the packet (for the most part), I made three shallow rows of about a half inch deep and sowed my okra seeds approximately one inch apart. I covered my little beauties with soil and patted lightly. After watering, I came in satisfied with my morning's work.

This evening, I'll be re-routing my soaker hose for the THIRD time!! Hopefully the third time is a charm because I'm running out of patience and tired of getting tangled in the hose.
